Susan Adams

Founder & Owner of Quilted Heartz

I’ve been sewing most of my life, inspired by my mom and her love of creating. I began quilting in 2005, and it quickly became a passion and creative outlet I truly fell in love with.
Quilted Heartz was born from my desire to make quilting feel less intimidating and more accessible, especially for beginners. What started as teaching friends and family using simple patterns I designed grew into quilt kits, tools, and resources created to build confidence and joy in quilting.
Designing patterns is one of my favorite parts of the process, with inspiration coming from everyday life, nature, and conversations with fellow quilters. That love of design led to the creation of the Binding Eaze, a patented tool launched in 2020 to simplify quilting’s most challenging step — binding. Its success inspired the also patented Winding Eaze, a complementary tool we now produce in-house.
Today, Quilted Heartz is my way of sharing creativity, confidence, and the joy of quilting with others.

Kristen Larson

Chief Financial Officer & Assistant

I was introduced to Quilted Heartz through a long-standing friendship between Susan and my mother-in-law. While I had never been a quilter myself, I began assisting Susan at quilt shows in 2023, and my role with the company quickly grew from there.
Today, I serve as Quilted Heartz’ Chief Financial Officer and Susan’s assistant. Coming into quilting as a true beginner, I’ve had the opportunity to test many of Susan’s patterns to ensure they are clear, approachable, and easy for anyone to follow. Along the way, I’ve discovered a love for quilting and have enjoyed developing a new creative skill.
Being part of Quilted Heartz has been an incredibly rewarding journey, and I look forward to continuing to grow with the company under Susan’s mentorship while helping make quilting accessible and enjoyable for all.

Farrah Adams

Senior Director of Digital Marketing & Assistant

I’m Susan Adams’ daughter-in-law and am proud to be part of the Quilted Heartz family. My introduction to quilting began at a young age when my grandmother helped me make my first tie quilt around the age of ten. Over the years, I made a few quilts here and there, but quilting didn’t truly become a passion until I married into the Adams family.
Susan welcomed me into the world of quilting and showed me just how creative, fun, and rewarding it can be. Since then, I’ve been quilting alongside her, learning, creating, and sharing in the joy that comes from every project. Quilting has become a meaningful connection between generations for me, and I love being part of a family and business that celebrates creativity, tradition, and community.
